Circulation Desk of Foreign Literature of the University Library (4 Turgeneva St., room 356) presents a new summer exhibition "Reading the classics: Russian writers" dedicated to the great Russian writers.

At the circulation desk you can read or choose your favorite work in a foreign language, for example, Leo Tolstoy, whose creative work includes more than a hundred works of fiction. Tolstoy was a writer, publicist, novelist, thinker, he was nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature and the Nobel Peace Prize more than once. You can read also another Russian and American writer, novelist, poet, playwright, translator, entomologist and chess player, Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov, whose novel "Lolita" written in English became popular all over the world.

If you prefer poetry and poems, the exhibition also presents poetess Anna Akhmatova, one of the most important figures of Russian literature of the 20th century, and writer, prose writer, playwright and artist Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov. The poems of these authors will definitely not leave you indifferent, you can see yourself in them, understand and share the characters’ feelings, to agree on some things and question others.

And many other authors and books will be waiting for you at the exhibition, which will run from July through September!
