Circulation Desk of Foreign Literature of the University Library (4 Turgeneva St., room 356) presents a new exhibition «Reflections on philosophy» dedicated to the world's great philosophers.
«Philosophical reasoning by means of hypotheses means refusing to assume that one philosophical thesis has greater truth in opposition to another». And one can argue endlessly about the beautiful or imperfect, based on scientific works, Circulation Desk of Foreign Literature is opening an exhibition in November that will give everyone the opportunity to get to know the way of thinking of great scientists.
We invite readers to immerse themselves in a marvelous world that combines several of the greatest eras, namely the philosophy of antiquity, ancient Rome, new and modern times. The works by Plato, Immanuel Kant, Jacques Derrida and other eminent scholars. You can also read the book in Japanese by Yamamoto Tsunetomo “Hagakure. Hidden in the foliage. Samurai's Code of Honour”. This book is the most authoritative treatise on bushido. In ancient Japan, this was the name given to a set of rules and regulations governing the behaviour and daily life of the samurai, the military class. You may be interested in the book in Greek «Platonis Opera». This is a unique collection of the tetralogies of Parmenides, Philebus, Pyrus, Phaedrus and others.
