Circulation Desk of Foreign Literature of the University Library (4 Turgeneva Street, Room 252) presents a new exhibition “Anniversary Books of 2025”, dedicated to books celebrating their anniversary in 2025. Among them are both recognized masterpieces of world literature and less known, but no less significant works. The books are presented in 4 languages: English, French, German and Spanish. This year our selection includes not only classic works of the XIX century, but also editions of the XX-XXI centuries: the amazing adventures of Baron Munchausen, written by the German poet Gottfried Bürger; a sentimental love story, or «a tale sadder than any in the world...» by William Shakespeare. In addition, you will be able to go on an exciting journey through Wonderland with Alice, the protagonist of Lewis Carroll. Finally, you will have the opportunity to witness the complex relationships between humans and mythological characters: vampires, werewolves in Stephanie Meyer's romantic fantasy. We invite readers to plunge into the atmosphere of the past years, get acquainted with the works that changed the world and learn about how they were created. The books presented at the exhibition will help you touch the cultural heritage of world literature!
