The 42nd ‘May Walk’ will take place on 18 May. This unique event has been held in the capital of the Urals since 1984 every year on the third Sunday of May in any weather. The initiative to organize the event belongs to the students and staff of the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Ural Federal University. In 2025, the organizers of the mass walk will present participants four routes of varying length and level of difficulty – from a city stroll through parks to a serious 50-kilometre challenge. Participants will be able to have a rest between the individual stages of the routes at checkpoints. Traditionally, everyone will also be able to participate in planting a forest.
