The Library structure is quite diversified, however, information centres occupy a particular position as just here bright ideas for a future research paper are generated through up-to-date information resources and services. Today we present Information Centre of Library Resources located in the main educational building of the University in 19 Mira St., room Б-202. It combines places equipped with PC devices with an open-access book collection in technics and engineering. The department provides a wide spectrum of offline and online services for all categories of users: • access to UrFU-generated and subscribed information electronic resources (Russian and international scientific databases, electronic library systems, scientific depository DSpace, and others); • consultations (offline and online) on access and search in these resources; • group seminars and trainings (offline and online) on information resources and services for all categories of users; • individual consultations and group seminars (offline and online) in English for international bachelors, master students and doctoral students; • open-access collection of items in technics and engineering (study and scientific materials, dictionaries, encyclopedias, including those in foreign languages, in total around 20 thousand items); • thematic exhibitions; • retrospective subject-related search in UrFU electronic resources (paid service); • printing, copying and scanning (paid service); • a convenient co-working space for discussing projects. In view of the upcoming 105th anniversary of the University and Library a new Exhibition retro-zone was opened in this information centre. Here you can sit at the ancient tables, enjoy expositions of the 20th-century antique gadgets and unique books. There is already a belief that one who studied at these tables will excellently defend diploma. And this place is perfect if you want to make selphy or a photo of this magnificent historical space and preserve bright moments as a memory. Thus, the Information Centre offers a complex of services facilitating your study and academic activities, such as information search parallel in electronic and printed resources, a specialist’s assistance, and comfortable places with Wi-Fi to make your homework, prepare for exams or simply relax!
