Rules for Use of Electronic Information Resources
1. The Library provides access to scientific and educational electronic information resources.
2. e-Resources are available:
• in the Library Information Centers;
• in the Ural Federal University corporate network;
• through a remote access system.
3. It is important to access e-Resources using the search tools and links provided by the Library.
Users are obliged:
1. To comply with both the copyright law and the terms of licenses agreed between the Scientific Library of Ural Federal University and the publishers.
2. To submit a valid library card to the Reference Librarian.
3. To inform the Reference Librarian of PC or software dysfunctions.
Users are allowed:
1. To use the computers and software of the Information Centers for getting access to information resources of the Scientific Library.
2. To search for journal articles in the databases.
3. To print out the information created by a user during a session as a paid service that is conducted by the Reference Librarian in accordance with the Price List approved by the Rector of Ural Federal University.
4. To use the CD and DVD drives by the permission of the Reference Librarian.
Users are not allowed:
1. To use personal removable media devices to copy information.
2. To copy installed software and install additional software, change settings of the computers, connect other peripheral devices and commit actions which can inflict harm to other users, equipment, or software installed on the PCs.
3. To play computer games; view, copy, or place materials or links to the materials containing elements of extremism, violence, pornography that insult honor and dignity of a person; use chat rooms, forums, IRC and IM clients, P2P network clients.
The Reference Librarian has a right and technical possibility to track content of a user's monitor and to block his computer in case of a prohibited action.
