Loan policies
1. Borrowing items
To borrow a circulation item, a valid library card with photograph and a reader’s slip are required. Items may be ordered either online or at the library office.
2. Loan Periods
Unless it is a high-use item, the University teachers may borrow it for an extended time but no longer than a semester of current academic year.
3. Returning items
Please return any items borrowed from the Library when you have finished with them, and always by due date.
4. Renewing items
Loans may normally be renewed if the book is not required by another user. Special rules may apply for items in high-use categories.
5. It is prohibited to borrow:
- the last and only item from the Library holding;
- rare and valuable books.
Borrowing of rare and valuable items for exhibitions and other events outside the University is carried out on a contractual basis.
6. Interlibrary Loan and Electronic Document Delivery provides materials unavailable from the University Scientific Library.
