The Library continues to introduce readers to the historical and cultural heritage of Yekaterinburg. «The milestones of town’s history» is a new exhibition in the Library’s Exhibition Hall (4 Turgeneva st., auditorium 267) and is a part of a series of events «A book-tour around Yekaterinburg» dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the city. We are inviting you to look at the history of the Ural’s capital through a time prism and find out how the town has been changing from its foundation till today. The exhibition presents books that will introduce you to various aspects of the history of Yekaterinburg: they will reveal the main stages of its foundation, tell about people who had a tremendous impact on the development of the city, and the current state of the Ural industry. The exhibition contains retro photographs and colour photographs, posters, plans and maps of the city, which especially accurately convey the spirit of the time. Take an exciting book trip around your favorite city with the Library! You can visit the exhibition hall on weekdays from 9:00 to 17:00. Experienced librarians will answer any of your questions that may arise after viewing the exhibition. The exhibition will last until the end of November. |
