The University Library continues its series of events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Yekaterinburg. For the historical birthday of the city, November 18th, we have prepared a rich program that concludes the cycle of events celebrating the city's jubilee.

On November 14th at 4:00 PM, there will be a creative meeting with Daria Myasnikova, the author of books for children, teenagers, and adults, and an associate professor at Ural Federal University. Those who attend this meeting will have the opportunity to dive headfirst into the ocean of the author's very interesting, captivating, and vibrant works, which go beyond writing.

On November 21st at 4:00 PM, we invite you to the presentation of the exhibition Milestones of Yekaterinburg, featuring scientific publications on the history, culture, and art of the city, as well as fiction books about Yekaterinburg. Exhibition visitors will enjoy a comfortable atmosphere, sitting on soft sofas and chairs, not only seeing but also flipping through the books and even testing their knowledge about the jubilee city by solving an exciting crossword puzzle.

On November 23rd at 4:00 PM, there will be a literary meeting with Tasha Tanari, a popular fantasy genre author and a graduate of Ural Federal University. The writer will share the secrets of her books' success and talk about creating unique authorial worlds.

Information Centre: Humanities: 4 Turgeneva Street, Room 269.

On November 30th at 4:00 PM, there will be a poetry evening with Evgeny Kuznetsov, a highly experienced mountaineer and former lecturer at Ural Federal University. He will introduce the meeting's guests to his 20-year literary career. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear his life-affirming poems about life, homeland, and, of course, mountains, and experience their heartfelt sincerity and love for the native nature.

Yekaterinburg celebrates its 300th anniversary – in honor of this important historical milestone, festive events are taking place throughout the year in the city.

The Ural Federal University Library has prepared and organized several book exhibitions and creative meetings with local authors in celebration of the Ural capital's jubilee, has created a series of book trailers titled Books about Yekaterinburg: Foreign Students' Choice, published numerous interesting posts on the history and culture of the city on social media.
