Many know Isaac Asimov as the greatest science fiction writer of the 20th century, but out of his nearly five hundred books, about two hundred were of a scientific or science popularization nature. He dedicated his life to popularizing science while teaching at the medical school of Boston University.

Notably, Asimov's style is characterized by vividness of text, scientific accuracy, and masterful exposition. He wrote for both schoolchildren, who were just beginning to explore the world in depth, and for adults interested in specific areas of knowledge.

It seems that Asimov covered all sciences in his works. If you want to see this for yourself, we suggest paying attention to the author's works in our collection.

In the books The Stars in Their Courses and The Universe; From Flat Earth to Quasar, the interrelationship between Earth and space is explored, along with the path humanity has taken in understanding the world from a small piece of flat Earth to the gigantic Universe. It also recounts the history of the development of the exact sciences from ancient times to our days.

For those interested in the phenomenon of time, the work The Clock We Live on will be intriguing. It explains the devices that ancient people used to measure time, as well as the invention of new devices with the development of science and society, such as sundials, water clocks, and ultimately mechanical clocks.

In the books A Short History of Biology and A Short History of Chemistry, the history of the emergence of sciences such as biology and chemistry is presented. Here you can find many interesting facts about these sciences and take an exciting journey into related fields of knowledge, for example, the world of physical chemistry or biochemistry.
