The encyclopedia "Engineers of the Urals" can be called one of the first unique editions in the history of the Urals, dedicated to the creators of the Ural technology and industry, thanks to which the region has become a true supporting edge of the state. The publication includes articles about engineers representing all regions, republics and autonomous districts of the Big Urals: Bashkortostan and the Udmurt Republic, Perm Territory, Kurgan, Orenburg, Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk Regions, Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Districts.
The edition consists of three volumes. Each volume contains 480 biographies of engineers and specialists of the Ural Federal University. For example, the first volume reflects 152 biographies of USTU scientists, 5 - USU, the second - 116 biographies of USTU scientists, USU - 1, the third volume - 180 biographies of UrFU (USTU-UPI), USU - 26.

The proposed reference publication "Architects of Yekaterinburg and the Sverdlovsk Region" contains biographical information about people of a complex and interesting profession, their labor merits and titles. Basically, information is given about the members of the Union of Architects, who were or are still teachers of the Ural Federal University.

Graduates of universities in the Urals largely determine the development of social, economic, industrial and cultural life not only in the region, but also in the country as a whole.
