Perevlessky Peter Mironovich (? -1866). Graduated from the Moscow University with a Ph.D. degree, taught at various educational institutions, including the Moscow Institute of Nobility, Lazarev Institute of Oriental Languages. In 1851 he entered the Lyceum as adjunct professor, and from 1862 he was appointed Professor of Russian literature. He was secretary of the Lyceum Council (1851-1864). He served at the Lyceum for 15 years, which had a great impact on a whole generation of his students. He made a great contribution to the history of Russian educational literature, compiled very famous textbooks: "Russian Versification" (1853), "Monuments of the Old Slavic Language" (1854), "Subject Lessons according to Pestalozzi" (1862), and others. His "Slavic Grammar with Anthology" (1863) was reissued many times. His successor at the Lyceum V. V. Nikolsky wrote in the foreword to the tenth edition: “This book remained a favourite in all the schools where it was distributed in tens of thousands of copies”.

Apart from this, he prepared for publication the works of Russian writers: M. V. Lomonosov, V. K. Tredyakovsky, D. I. Fonvizin.
